St Leonards Asbestos Removal and Roof Replacement
Commercial
High-risk roof replacement with asbestos removal, waterproofing, and extensive facade remediation works.
This high-risk project involved the removal and replacement of an existing steel roof, beneath which was a waterproof membrane adhered with asbestos-containing glue. Careful planning and staging of works were required for the removal of the existing roof sheets, waterproof membrane, and ACM glue, followed by the application of elastomeric paint and installation of new Klip-Lok roofing. Maintaining water tightness throughout the works was imperative, as the building contained active and sensitive telecommunications equipment. The facade of the building also required extensive concrete spalling repairs, replacement of degraded mastic control joints, and repainting of all concrete surfaces.
